Default Should I sell our big truck in Florida?

We have a 2007 Chevrolet K3500 classic, dual rear wheels, 4WD, 8' bed, crew cab, loaded with many extras and in excellent condition.
I'm debating on whether to sell in PA, where we are now, or to try and sell it in FL when we move to The Villages.
Does anyone have any knowledge on how trucks like the above sell in Florida?
I was thinking of all the construction and lawn services, plus the people buying and pulling 5th-wheel campers.
Thanks for any help with this.

If you bring it to TV you may not have room to park it.

Be sure to add in the costs of driving it to TV.

Post in the items to sell part of this site if you can and try an ad in a local paper.

Also look up used car prices in Fl and PA on the internet to see the differences in the local markets.

I would put it up for sale now and if you can not get your price then consider bring it to Fl.

You also have to add in the cost of registering the truck in Florida. It ain't cheap.

Ditto that - - - unless you try to sell it still on your PA title. But even then, a smart buyer will factor in the cost of FL registration for the out-of-state vehicle into the value of the truck.

We sold our 4WD Tundra BEFORE we came. Eliminated a lot of hassle (the above comments named a few). Got the price we wanted in PA.

We had a fairly rare Avalanche, 8.1. We listed it on cars.com and it sold to a police officer who flew down from NY to buy it. Someone may want just the truck you have and would be willing to travel for it.

I have an 01 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel and was wondering the same. We are originally from CT and travel back and forth a couple of times each year.

Check out Official Kelley Blue Book Values You Can Trust From kbb.com - Kelley Blue Book (Kelly Blue Book) and compare zipcodes to see if your truck is worth more in PA or FLA and then decide.

We registered our truck in Florida and the Reg and new FLA Title cost approx $250 total.

I would think that you would get a better price up in Pa because of it being 4WD.
Up north we always had 4WD because of the snow and mud plus living out in the country.
When we started moving south we found out we really didn't need it, even when driving on the
beaches in the Outer Banks. There you just deflated your tires.

Default The market

Another thought...most of your market in TV would not want a big truck due to small garages ....so not as much immediate market....Not sure.....just thinking out loud

People in Florida avoid or down grade vehicles that have gone through the salt baths of Northern winters. So, selling up North is probably a better option.

Funny! We just are "downsizing" for our move to TV from three vehicles to one and got a 2012 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner full cab 4 WD with short box and canopy with big windows so the dogs have the back and we have the front and we do not need a special dog car anymore! It suits all our needs in one. We bought a CYV and will have two golf carts in the garage and probably keep the truck in the driveway. Everyone has different needs, the two big dogs rule our decisions, including buying the CYV. So they get a new house and a new truck. And let us live there and drive them. I love our life, I really do!

Default Sell it there

You would have better opportunity to sell it up there.
