Default New Keurig 2.0 --How to use old cups!

OK! So you got a new Keurig 2.0 and now your old cups, or your K-cup that you use your own coffee doesn't work.

Ours came with the new cups, so it wasn't an issue to use them but when we wanted a cup of our own coffee the message says sorry you can't use that. This is there way of increasing their sales of their Keurig coffee.

But the fix is simple. No need to go to YouTube and look at all the videos, the fix is a piece of scotch tape and a used new Keurig 2.0 cup.

Peel the top off the used cup, it's the one with a silver ring around the label. With that top, cut the silver ring with scissors so you have just the silver band which is about 1/8" wide. Now cut about 1/2" of this and save the rest. Put that small piece on a piece of scotch tape. Now look underneath, there is a small square opening where a laser led looks thru, place the band across this hole with the scotch tape (see attached photo). You may need to adjust the location but mine worked first time, the middle of the opening is probably OKAY.

There ya go. Have a great cup of coffee. Your

Nice of them to exchange for you. But there were also some off brands made that worked in the old version of Keurig that were a little less expensive. They work with this fix.
