Default Finally pulled the trigger!

The waiting is over! As I have mentioned in other posts, we had reserved a lot in Buttonwood. Yesterday we gave our deposit on the house and signed the contract, so we're committed to our new life in paradise. Our rep had told us it would take 60-65 days for closing. When we got the contract back, it said June 21, only 50 days! We aren't going to be full time until next year or when our house sells, what ever comes first, and had planned to come down in October to set everything up. But since we already have purchased all the new furniture and accessories, we figured we might as well come down for the closing and have the furniture delivered (I know, it doesn't make sense to buy the furniture first, but we were so excited we couldn't help ourselves). Now I don't know if any one else has ever requested this, but if anyone lives in Buttonwood or goes by my area, it would be great if they could take some pictures of the house as it's completed. I've made friends with a neighbor, but their coming down on the 18th to move in, so they'll be pretty busy. So if anyone should go by and have a camera, PM me and I'll give you my email address. The house address is 1928 Harding Path. Hopefully I can return the favor someday!(or at least have you over for martinis)

Laryb,

I'm not there to take pictures, but for you. Congratulations and all the very best wishes!

Thanks! Pictures are not required to be our friends, we're all neighbors! My wife and I are easy to get along with and want to have a lot of fun in this phase of our lives. So, to all my new TOTV friends, even if you don't take pictures or are not near by, stop by and say hi! (just not all at the same time!) And thanks Pturner, I knew you'd have a nice response.

Default Congratulations!

Laryb, we are so jealous! We also have bought a lot in Buttonwood! Ours is on Claverton just across from Fishhawk Rec Center (on the east side of Claverton) but we won't be starting to build until September and won't be able to be down there full time till the end of 2011.

Good luck to you in your new adventure! Keep us all posted on your progress.

It really is pretty SOP for your sales rep to take pics and have them sent to you. Check and see if that's the case. If it isn't, shout out again and I'll be happy to take some weekly pics in my wanderings.

Default Congrats...

Congrats on your purchase! I'm just a little envious...

We're flying to TV in 14 days (but who's counting), to hopefully find our retirement home.

Enjoy....

Thanks to everyone and their kind responses. A friend I met on TOTV that I didn't want to bother, said he would do it for me, even though he'll be moving in himself, but are any of you surprised by this? That's why we bought there, the people!
Everything was done by fax and phone, so I didn't to think ask about pictures, but I will tomorrow. My rep is a really nice young man, John Stamper, and he already bends over backwards for us, so I'm sure he'll take some pictures for us. Don't know if our visits matchup with the Crispers thing, but if they do we'll be there!
