Default Gold Fish Pond

I have a small pond with some gold fish in it but can't seem to keep up with the algae. Need advice here on keeping the pond clear.

We, too, have a goldfish pond in our yard and had a tough time initially getting it clear. We used an algae product that we bought at Lowe's (it's by the pond supplies in the outside nursery area) We also purchased plants for the water which, I think, really helped. The initial plants we purchased from Touch of Paradise up on 441 in Ocala. They specialize in ponds and water plants. Now, I just periodically use two Tetra Products (available in Walmart) Tetra Easy Balance and Tetra Algae Control. The only plant we have now in the pond is a water lily we purchased at Lowes. Keep in mind that you will always have algae in the pond...some algae is necessary and beneficial for the fish. Oh...and a good pond filter is an absolute necessity.

Enjoy your pond and goldfish. We love ours!!

Howdy, We have 7 goldfish in a 75gal tank that are about 5 years old and 10" long. We are looking to rehome them. Would you like them?

Thanks, Karen
