Beck's, 352-245-3598. I recently had them replace an icemaker motor on a refrigerator.

Didn’t say what problem was? Might try defrost it first? Last time my ice maker quite ( could hear gears slipping) I brought one online took about 10 mins to remove two bolts, unplug harness, install harness on new ice maker, connect harness, and install the two mount bolts/ screws. There was bunch of common ice makers that fit several models the plastic gears would strip and fail. I’m still young enough to fix stuff, in few years not so much.

You can buy a new icemaker on Amazon for about $70 and install it yourself. But, if the problem is a bad motor that turns the large screw and pushes the ice forward into the door dispenser, a new icemaker will not help you.

OP, I would (and have) looked up on the internet our model Whirlpool for solutions to a leak and the ice maker and was able to fix both myself, but I will also agree with Beck's as we used them after the first and second ice maker failure. The current repair has been working very well as this is a newer design.

Have had great success twice now in just taking out the ice maker and allowing it to completely dry out/defrost. Seems to be tied to amount of time freezer door is left open (makes sense !). However, just before the holidays, after doing this, the ice maker again began to work fine, ice in no time...but...... using the door option, NOTHING comes out when pressing the ice dispense. The auger is definitely turning, but no ice ever drops down the "shoot".... any ideas ? Can't figure it out ! ? Ice makers, in any make refrigerator (we've had many brands) seem to be a big pain in the neck as grand dad used to say !

Default Check door for clogged ice

We have an LG and if we don't use ice dispenser for a week the ice is all clogged up. I open ice door and take out the chunk of ice and just close it and begins working again. I also found that it may stop making ice if all the back vents inside of back of refrigerator are blocked up with frozen food down below and the back wall has no air circulating. So move items away from back wall of interior of frig and push away frozen food from back vents in lower freezer. At least that's what worked for me.

Have a Samsung. Gave up on ice maker, bought a small cooler which I placed in the freezer drawer. Buy a 10 bag of ice each week at ---- anywhere for $1.99. Totally pleased with my new arrangement.

Samsung lawsuit for clogging ice maker - I’m not sure if outcome but here’s the trick for quick fix instead of defrosting the whole fridge or chiseling it out with screwdriver-
Take out ice bucket find 2 coffee mugs that will fit into ice maker - microwave hot hot water in coffee cups and place in ice maker for 10-15 minutes repeat if necessary and your ice maker will be fully defrosted…..you welcome

If it's a Samsung, call them directly. They will replace it for free. Truthfully, I'm still not happy with the icemaker, but at least it has stopped freezing up.

Home Depot said my 4 yo is out of warranty - did class action lawsuit order/settlement make Samsung fix old ones?

I gave up on the ice maker and use ice cube trays. No problems with that.

I second that. Beck's recently repaired my ice maker. I've also had them work on a stove. Very reliable and reasonably priced.
