That’s your opinion.
I say mind you business at what other people are doing.

The cloth masks are laughable. They pretty much do nothing. The real medical masks aren’t used properly and most have no idea how to remove them. They put them in their pocket to use again! This logic is more dangerous than not using them at all. The cloth masks need to be removed and placed in a plastic bag to be washed immediately after each use! Paper masks after careful removal should be thrown away not use them over and over again! You are more likely to spread the virus to yourself, your family, and others by not doing this. I’m speaking as a retired nurse.

What I heard wearing mask protects other’s and not you (IMO mask does offer some protection) why Publix allowed people in store without masks. I can’t go into Walmart without mask?
Those who don't wear masks these days, could care less if they infect you. They are self-absorbed. They don't know the difference between constructive and destructive freedom. I have to wonder if those people also rail against assisted suicide?

No one in the medical field would say that

Lots of stupid , selfish and uneducated people live in Florida even in the Villages . Shame on Publix they are making record profits and should be requiring any one in the store to where a Mask. When you ask any numskull why they aren't wearing a mask they will tell you they aren't worried about catching the Virus. They are to selfish and stupid to realize its not only about there protection but protection of others.

Love to see the statistics on that and the source from which you based that statement. Oh---there isn't any???? No surprise, since you just spouted out whatever came into your head without any specific knowledge of virology or epidemiology or any reference.
That being said, you could very well be right

A couple of days ago, a security guard at a Family Dollar Store was shot and killed after getting into it with a woman refusing to wear a mask, as was required.

In Oklahoma employees of stores and restaurants were threatened with violence, including shooting, over masks.

(In case you missed these sick stories, they can be found on national news sites.)

The longer it goes , the worse it going to get. IMO we haven’t seen tip of the iceberg yet.

Look you can banter all you want , as of now there are 74,000 people dead. It’s not a game or a subject for debate. We have been very lucky here, but that luck may run out, and when you or someone you know is laying in a hospital bed trying to breathe, with a hose stuck down your throat, you’ll think differently. I have never written a response to any of the nonsense discussed on these sites, so I really don’t care to hear from anyone and I will not reply or post again. Figure it out for yourself but I don’t want some selfish idiot to stop me from seeing my grandchildren for the last period of my live. Please be safe

It makes me very grateful that Publix does NOT "require" everyone entering the store to wear masks. It only requires the employees to wear them. In a community where we have people "proud" to proclaim that they not only have a gun, but aren't afraid to use it and their rights are protected and damn the fear of anyone who doesn't like it - I'm VERY grateful that my employer isn't asking any of us to enforce mask-wearing in our stores by our customers.

This behavior, which has not just been your post, but others as well, are why I will continue to stay home/away, and wait to see what happens. Some are younger, healthier (and maybe stupid too). I am among the group that has been advised to stay away for now, and I will.

Whose post? Who are you responding to? You didn't quote the post you're responding to, or mention their name. So your response has no context at all.

You have to wear a mask. Doesn't say where....around your arm, as a headband, whatever

Well, IMO has nothing do with gun rights.

So, you come in contact with several or lots of people You don’t know, where they’ve been, if they are carrier, or not in side enclosed building? Just take one person to sneeze to pollute large area IMO. I would think you’re employer would want to require people coming in to wear masks to offer some protection from people? Why did they put all the barriers at checking out?

Why are elected politicians close business and spouting wear masks when out in public? Why did they even shut down then. Why can’t I wake into any medical facilities without mask if the no danger?

I think there is danger inside in enclosed environment, not so much outside if you keep away from people you don’t know. But, that’s me.
