Default New dishwasher

We need to replace our dishwasher. I would like a stainless steel interior and very quiet. Has anyone bought one recently that could reccomend one? Thanks.

Default I agree!

I agree with the above comment. My daughter bought one and you can hardly tell it's running!

Another vote for Bosch. They have 4 of the top 6 in this month's Consumer Reports ratings. We love ours. It's super quiet, and that was my number one requirement when having an open floor plan.

I had a Bosch in my last house, very quiet loved it! I have the higher end Whirlpool stainless steel dishwasher since that was one of my choices for a new build and have to say it is also very quiet, about the same as Bosch on a noise level to my ear, I have to put my ear to the dish washer to make sure it's running and the dishes come out spotless.

most well known dishwasher manufacturers have a machine that is as quiet as the Bosch.

When they are taken apart there is not that much difference between any of the higher end machines. Truly a matter of individual brand preference.

I agree. There are only a few manufactures of dishwashers and components and many, many brands. The insides are just about the same just like electronics. Do your research and read reviews.

Bosch, without a doubt. Expect to pay a little more but you'll be happy you did.

Because of their reputation I wanted a Bosch so we purchased one from Sears following our design meeting. When we closed on our house and they were to deliver it, it was out of stock. With our approval, Sears replaced it with a more expensive Kenmore Elite and an extended warranty. We are very pleased with how quiet it is (44 decibels) and how well it performs. The only time I hear it is when the water is draining.

Just got a new Sears Elite this week. It is rated 43 db. They claim quietest of all dishwashers. We love it.
