Saw it Sun night, looked for it last night at about 10:00, but too overcast.

I looked at it at 3:00 a.m. Sunday night, could see it even through the clouds during breaks in the clouds. Maybe it's me, but it didn't look that big to me. At least no bigger than any usual full moon.

You are right. When compared to a normal full moon there is not that much difference in size to the naked eye. But it's noticeably brighter.

I think the pics in the paper were taken from a spot with no trees, etc in the background just as it was rising. It looked HUGE in that pic, so I was a bit disappointed when I saw it in the sky. Definitely not as big!
