Default Random act of Culture

Got this from a friend in Philadelphia and thought I'd share.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Imagine you went shopping last Saturday - to Macy's in Philadelphia - the once magnificent Wanamaker's Department Store with its vast pipe organ at the store's "center court." You are a bit surprised to see decorations for Christmas (they were putting them up today in downtown Spartanburg) and in the midst of your shopping you hear the music from the organ. Then suddenly you get hit with this "random act of culture." Catch the expressions and sense of spontaneous worship.
The Phila Opera Co does this Random Act of Culture on a regular basis. This took place in the Reading Terminal in Phila which is a farmer's market of sorts with assorted ethnic food places.
Smile Anybody grow in South Brooklyn?
AKA Park Slope, Carrol Gardens...etc?
We had the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, The Prospect Park Zoo, The Big Library and The Brooklyn Museum, concerts in Prospect Park...we had random acts of culture growing up and didn't even know it!
Great video BTW.
Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful clip from Phily. It represents the true meaning of the upcoming season,
Hallmark channel has started their "countdown to Christmas" with many classic Christmas stories, catch some is you want to get into the spirit.
Default Looks like when you factor out the politics, the media and special interest
you get a look at what America really, REALLY looks and acts like!!!!!
In my humble opinion.
Thank you very much for sharing these enlightening clips. Just makes one feel good.
