Cool ah.... the 60s.....

The first half of the 60s, I was elbow-deep in dirty-diapers; in those days there were no Pampers

The second half of the 60s, I relocated from NYC to Miami Florida and was busy with my new life as a single mom

The 60s were very busy for me

Now..... the 70s........... those were some good years

Me too.

Actually remember most, not all, of it well.
We didn't know how good it was.

Someone once said " the good old days were once known as these trying times". How true.

My mother told me about some of the things that happened in the 60s, before I was born.

A walk down memory lane! Some things I remember well..

My worst nightmare was The Lawrence Welk Show, I can remember my grandmother watching us when my parents went out and we HAD to watch that dreaded LW show...The Villages Florida

OMG what a torture that was, and those bubbles!

Default Old Shows

My mother always watched Lawrence Welk; my father always watched Ed Sullivan. On Tuesday nights, he would take a bus to my uncles (when gas rationing was in effect) and watch Milton Berle on my uncle's "giant" 12 inch set.

Tony:

Thanks for the memories. I fondly remember my high school and college days in the mid-50's and mid-60's but spent the last part of the 60's in Viet Nam and I would like to forget that.
