Default Jesus is the Reason for the Season.

"Jesus is the Reason for the Season" I see these signs on maybe one out of every 12 homes here in Lynnhaven. Do these signs show up in your neighborhoods too? In the Villages? Outside the Villages?

I can say outside TV, I haven't seen one.

I remember long ago when a driver had the bumper sticker, "honk if you love Jesus". My friend honked anf the guy, flipped him the bird".

Go figure.

You certainly have driven to other neighborhoods in The Villages yourself and have seen them, haven't you? What is the reason for this posting? You are not upset with "signs in yards", are you? If you noticed in The Daily Sun a few days ago, one of the CDD attorneys actually took notice of that "signs in yards" restriction regarding these religious signs and declared they are Christmas decoration and are not restricted during the Christmas season just like other Christmas decorations.

Wow, I can just imagine the firestorm and hail of very negative PR that would have ensued if those signs were forbidden. Never going to happen like that in The Villages - maybe other places, but not The Villages.

Why do all my posts have to have an agenda behind them? Many do not, some do.

Taltarzac, I didn't read an agenda into your post. At all. But you have to think that anything with a religious/political/ gnash-the-developer, etc., bent will raise some hackles. It's so hard to convey what you really mean through forum print.

All I wanted to know is if Tartalzac had a purpose for posting the original post. Tartalzac did not answer that.

Anyone in The Villages has certainly driven through the various neighborhoods and seen those signs in about every block. It is Christmas decoration and although, not very decorative, does spell out the reason for Christmas.

No, I had no agenda for posting about the signs "Jesus is the Reason for the Season". Maybe, I just agree with the signs.
