One of the causes of ocd is a drop of serotonin to the brain. Medications like zoloft can help that. Usually the person who has ocd can't see the difference but the people around them can. It takes about six weeks for the symptoms to become milder.

The question that crossed my mind is why when celebrities have these tragic self inflicted death why the news coverage goes on for what seems forever Jackson, Ledger, Houston, Hoffman? Yet our national heroes are fortunate if they get a mention and they have made a contribution that materially affects our lives

If those posts are varied, thoughtful, respectful, and not focused almost exclusively on a single topic, then I see no problem.

For one thing, the accusatory post about OCD was not respectful and neither was your approval of it. So you lose your job as the judge of the character and quality of the 20,000+ posts.

OCD is not a character fault. It is an illness that can be treated with medicine.

No one accuses someone of having Chicken Pox. It is brought on by Herpes Oster, no matter if someone is in excellent health, they will almost always get it as a child.

Some people get falling serotonin that causes OCD ....and arthritis as they age. It just happens.

No I don't.

I will still judge posts according to my own standards, just as you and everyone else does on these forums.
