Default Scooter rider interested in finding others of like interest for cruising.

I would like to find others that are interested in taking cruises around the area on their scooters. Prefer to cruise after 10:00 AM (not an early riser). I have 150 and 200 cc scooters.

LOL, first thing that came to mind in your subject header post was a “mobility scooter”. Had to google 200cc scooter. I have not seen these around much? Educate me, do you ride these on the street or cart paths?

Thank you. I can admit now - when he first posted, I thought same thing, then googled it and saw it was a actual scooter like the Vespa. I actually had a Honda Elite back in the 90s for awhile. I'm sure they are street legal. Could be fun.

But not to be used on the multi-modal paths, Right?

My first thought was the OP was looking for fellow Harley Davidson riders as some of them refer to their bikes as scooters.

No license scooter/motorcycle’s allowed in MMP. IMO that needs extended to electric bikes. But that’s my opinion and we know how far opinions goes around here.

Actually two classes of scooter’s 49CC and less, no motorcycle license required but scooter license plate require and I sure insurance. Those above 49CC require motorcycle license, plates, and of course insurance.

There was scooter club few years ago? I think it died out just before Covid?

Pretty sure you will also need a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license.

Most Harley Davidsons are LOUD, vibrate too much, are expensive, have a high center of gravity, and get bad gas mileage. Scooters are QUIET, vibration free, inexpensive, and get good mileage and try to have a low center of gravity. They are the complete opposite of each other. I don't know why HD riders call their BIKES "scooters"? But since I don't know any HD owners, I guess I can't ask. I do have a neighbor with an especially LOUD HD that goes to work early in the morning. Not my favorite person.

I'm surprised nobody has told the OP he can't drive it on the golf course either. After all, he never said anything about taking it on the paths. He just said cruising.

Only if larger 49CC.

Googled Florida requirements.

What You Need to Know Before Driving a Moped. Operating a moped is simple: you must be 16-years old and hold a regular Class E driver license or a “Motorcycle Only” driver license. If your moped is 50 cc or less, it does not fall under the category of motorcycles by driver license law definition, S.

Talking about regular licensed scooters that are driven on the street. Scooters in the 125 to 300cc class will have a top speed of 60 to 80 mph and cruise in the 50 mph Range. Cruising usually takes place on most roads other than turnpikes or interstate highways.

I’ll probably get into trouble for this, but I can’t resist. What do scooters and fat chicks have in common? They are both fun to ride, but you don’t want anyone seeing you riding them : )
