Default SeriusXM Radio Special Offers

Our 3 mos free subscription to SeriusXM radio expired in May and they've offered us two special deals: 6 mos for $29 or 12 mos for $99.

Why would anyone not take the 6 mos deal or am I missing something? I'm guessing if I cancel at the end of 6 mos they'll come back with a similar offer. Does anyone have any experience with SeriusXM that would suggest these special offers are limited to a one time offer? For me it wouldn't matter if there's a lapse of service after 6 mos.

Default XM radio

I put a reminder on my calendar a couple of days before the expiration to call them. If you keep insisting you wish to cancel, eventually they offer the $29 for 6 months. I think they went thru 5 offers before I finally agreed. Been doing this for over 2 years.

Check out the U-Tube on how to handle SeriusXM, a man informs us how to get the price down. I have successfully followed his advice.

My experience with Sirius is that the $29/6 month offer has been an offer they have made since I first went with - in 2011

We were offered that plan as well but it didn't come with the comedy channels, and I love the comedy and the 60/70/80, and thats pretty much it.

I had Sirius for several years and they never offered me any special deals. In fact with each renewal the cost increased

You simply have to call and ask them about any specials. I've done this annually since 2009

We had them for many years before moving here. Now our car trips are too short to even consider Sirius anymore. We don't even miss it either.

I have had Serius XM radio in my cars for a few years. I have never liked the way they do business but kind of didn't think much about it because I do enjoy what they offer when I'm driving.

After MANY months of back and forth between my Visa credit card company, Capital One, and Serius XM, I won a fraud case for $600+. Serius XM repeatedly billed me for service on a car that I no longer owned! The incident isn't as cut and dry as I'm making it sound, however, and in the spirit of less boredom for you, I'm trying to shorten the scenario. There was much more going on than what I've written, but I think you can get the gist of what happened.

For everyone's benefit, I will tell you that they lie, will never get back to you when they say they will and have many different prices for the same service. It all depends upon your ability to bargain and I do mean strongly bargain.

My advice to you is to keep track of how much you pay them, when you pay them and for what duration of time. If you do not cancel, they will keep billing you at the highest rate.

Throughout the many months of trying to get this straightened out, Capital One and their representatives were terrific and a God send. Without them I would have been left holding the bag.

Forewarned is forearmed, my friends.

I recently purchased a new car and it has Sirius XM. Is there something in the fine print from my car purchase that will allow them to renew my service? I have no interest whatsoever in paying for it.

I just called yesterday only because they have been calling me and I have not answered the number knowing it was a telemarketer, I thought. When I called them back I found out that my credit card had not gone through for next year's payment which was supposed to be $240. After reading this post about the special. I was directed to the cancellation department, and told them I was going to cancel unless they could meet the special that I had heard about. After some nonsensical questions they asked me about why you wanted to cancel etc. etc. etc. they gave me the special rate. Thank you so much for the information you provided
