Default Anyone get summoned for jury duty in Marion County?

I've read that in Florida the rate of no shows to jury duty is 10% and some county's are don't even bother holding no shows in contempt since people in Florida are very transient. I just got my jury duty call and will most likely be a no-show. Wonder if Marion County is like other counties and ignore no shows. At the very least I'm glad to just send my 100$ check to pay the fine in advance. Seriously a state that judicial systems can't even follow through on counting ballots can't be serious in tracking down no show jurors?

I hope you just pay the fine. IMO anyone sitting on a jury with an attitude that it is a waste of their time is a travesty.

Kind of a crummy attitude to not show up for jury duty. It may not be a thrill to serve but it is your duty as a citizen.

I think the original post was meant to be inflammatory as if we didn't have enough stuff on the news to raise our collective blood pressure.

Gracie, we may need to toss the squirtguns and bring out the secret weapon for this one. Sadly, I think the OP is being sincere.
