Would you mind providing a link to your research where government invented fracking?

OK, let me rephrase that. Offer tax incentive for the research and development of alternative fuels. Why not? Do you realize how self sufficient some geographic areas would become if they had the chance to develop wind and solar power? The job creation alone would pay for the tax incentive. Cut a companies property tax if they build a wind turbine on their property, same with installing solar panels.

And because our economy, our very existence is tied to energy and so many people are uninformed and just keep spouting rhetoric. There will not be effort toward that pipeline. Unless things change.

Sometimes you have to prioritize things if you want to continue to exist.
Environmentalism is good if it doesn't get to be a religion.

If you want a pipeline --- do not export the product and have me pay high price for the oil or gas --- I do not want big oil and gas make large profits at my expense --- I know i will never see lower gas or oil prices as long a big business and the govt are in bed together --- big business is the govt.

Big business keeps the economy alive. Kept many people employed. Still does. Big business was fair to us for over fifty years and still gives us good insurance. Big business builds the car you drive, brings you the food you eat, saves you money by buying in bulk at the grocery store. If the government was run in the black, THEN it would be like big business.

I would love to see the U.S. become energy independent but I don't trust private industry to do it safely. I don't want strip mining. I don't want another oil spill. Another Three-Mile Island is not acceptable.

However, I do believe that America has the wherewithal to mine, drill, build safely -- both environmentally safe and industrially safe. We can't take shortcuts. We also need to work on all methods of energy -- wind, solar, atomic, water. They'll all need subsidizing to do this in a safe and sane manner, at least to really get going, but the returns should be worth the cost.

Just need a coin flip. Winner gets Gaza. Loser moves to land donated by their supporters.
