Default the murdered policemen in Brooklyn

One of the murdered policemen in Brooklyn had a 19-year-old son, a junior at Bowdoin College in Maine. According to my daughter who went to Bowdoin, as soon as the college learned of this, they notified the family that the son would not have to pay another dime to finish his education. Then the college fired up the alumna association to start raising money for a fund to help the policeman's family.
Just nice to know that people care, even on an institutional level.

I also understand that the NY Yankees have tated they would pay for both officer's children to attend college.

Yay - Good for them !
(not because I am a Yankee fan either!)

I am sure, also, that the police union takes care of the families of officers who die on duty.

Also, the mortgages on both of the Officer's homes have been paid off.

Heard that right away about the Yankees. There's a great example of giving back to the community.

For all the tragedies in the world today, all of this is good news for the families concerned. Thankfully, there are many good people in this world.
