Default Some "Feel Good" News on ABC National News

After reading all the posts on What Makes People So Unreasonable, Speeding Golf Carts, Dumb Drivers, grouching about snow birds, bothersome teens etc, I thought I'd let you know about the "feel good" story David Muir ABC Evening News did this week on "What Makes America Strong." The story is about an 8 year old girl born without a lower right arm winning the overall female skiing championship for the State of Wisconsin by winning more points in the 12 winter race season than any other female skier ages 5 - 20 years old. She also has won the first place ranking every year in her age group; 5-6 yrs, and 7-9 yrs. Besides skiing she plays baseball (catcher), practices golf, dives and swims like a fish, water skis, and participates in gymnastics (all stations except those requiring double arm hanging).

You can see her at www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxXa39KMcWM

By the way, did I mention she's my grand daughter? We are all proud of her.

WOW! That's one heck of a granddaughter!!!!!

PS A huge attaboy to her parents (and anyone else involved in her upbringing). That little girl completely embraces the idea that she can be anything she sets her mind to and will not be limited by her disability. Thanks for sharing!

You've got to be so proud of her. She's definitely one in a million.

Wow, how lucky are you to be her grandparent?!!! What a wonderful story they did on her. It sure made me smile and of course I had to share it on Facebook. Thank you for posting.
