just wondering if you use an internet based system to run your house. We are looking at a couple of system's to run my locks, garage door, temp and smoke alarms. Is the system user friendly and how happy are you with the system after a year.

Nest definitely. My son loves his system. A video surveillance system can be added also. I believe nest purchased the dropcam company which is or rather, was, well regarded. Can't go wrong with nest in my opinion..
