This is a major disaster event. A chemical/fertilizer plant had a fire. Local volunteer firemen were fighting the fire when a massive explosion occurred. The facility allegedly was producing or using ammonium nitrate which is the material used in the Oklahoma City terrorism. Early reports, which certainly can be wrong, are reporting multiple fatalities.

Yes. It's terrible.
'Many' feared dead after explosion at Texas fertiliser plant - Telegraph

I was just amazed to read all the European papers plus Russia’s newspaper, etc, etc. have West, Texas explosion as front page news.

They are saying it’s the WACO “anniversary” .....David Koresh, Janet Reno, etc., etc.

Many world newspapers online............

It is very hard not to think along those lines. I hope and pray that it was just an accident..NOT JUST....it is a huge calamity and I fear that the death toll will be much much worse than initial reports.

How is this for a coincidence? As we travel we consider working as campground hosts, especially if it is an area we want to explore, it gets us free campsites for a couple of days work.

Yesterday we received a call from a campground in West, Texas asking us if we were going to be in that area and would consider helping them out this fall. We said we would think it over and get back with them today. We decided "no", but obviously cannot get a hold of them this morning. We looked on Google Maps and the campground is fairly close to the plant that exploded.

That is quite a coincidence. Very eerie in fact.
