Default A Third of July Story.

My late younger brother passed on December 3, 2014 in Clearwater at a hospital. He had had a long term fight with alcoholism but when sober was an extremely talented computer programmer mainly in insurance annuities calculation computer programs. He has three kids by a first wife and had been married a second time to a nice lady with two kids of her own.

Last night my older brother who used to be a headhunter for placing computer programmers into US government agencies called saying that a daughter had been told about a father unknown to her up until then. She started researching the name given and had contacted him. It turns out my younger brother might have been that father. This would have been unknown to him though.

After various Facebook friending and looking at pictures and such it looks like my mom is the happy great grandmother of what seems to be three boys. They do look quite a bit like my younger brother and the presumed unknown to up-to-now daughter of my younger brother looks very much like one of my nieces-- the biological daughter of my late younger brother.

Quite some early fireworks in the minds at our house on the 3rd of July. I do have to do a little research of my own into this. My younger brother was one for the ladies though in Reno, Nevada in the late 1970s and 1980s and never slowed down until getting married in Northern California around 1992.

The ferocious women I have dated would have told me right away if I left anything like this in my wake.

There would be little motive for anyone to make this up except that a daughter wants to know what her biological parents and the rest of the family are like. I believe my younger brother never got told that his former 1979 or so girlfriend did not have the abortion he had thought she had or else they broke up and the woman went her own way.

Mainly I think she just wanted to know the medical history of my late younger brother. The mother of this grown up daughter just recently told her who her biological father is.

Why share this on TOTV? I do have friends who look at TOTV so mainly I am addressing them.

It is turning out to be wonderful news of the unknown to us family in Reno, Nevada we did not know we had.

My niece whom I did not know existed was born on September 8, 1982 and my younger brother decided along with the niece's mother that she would raise the girl on her own. They moved from Reno to Oklahoma and my brother lost track of them. It was only later that my niece wanted to find her birth father so she contacted my older brother on Facebook and perhaps had also contacted my younger brother on there as well.

My niece has two kids too. They had moved back to Nevada after the deaths of my niece's grandkids.

My younger brother had passed on December 3, 2015 but that best of him remains in his various kids. He had never mentioned this niece of mine nor daughter of his to us but had shared the information with his second wife. It was quite a shocking Fourth of July weekend but has turned out really well.

I have been sharing many stories with her and her with me and so far she does not think I am crazy, so that's something nice and IMHO new.
