I have offered to donate it, but they are difficult to monetize, and so that has not been a feasible option. It is a floating week, deeded, annual fees app. $ 800. Please send PM for anyone wanting more specifics....

Realize that these people work like Jackals surrounding a catch. As one ‘Rep’ gets frustrated they call another one in. It was pathetic and I saw right through it 20 years ago when it was in its prime.
At one point the sales rep and a supervisor had me cornered and said to me “well if you weren’t interested in buying a time share, why did you come here?” To which I replied, “For the free portable TV you offered if I would listen to 1 hour of your BS. That hour is up and if you don’t give me my TV I’m going to go ‘Postal’ in front of all these people and you’ll lose every sucker you have here in your hand”. I was briskly escorted out of their pit with my TV in hand. But unfortunately, too many other victims did not get away so easily. |

The timeshare we had, had a bulletin board where you could post "for sale" info in the front office. They also sent out a bi-yearly newsletter with the units that were for sale and contact info. We sold ours from the posting on the bulletin board. The front office took care of the sale when we finally got a buyer. You might want to check to see if your timeshare has something like that.

Angel is making a point that if all owners of that week (52 weeks so probably 52 owners) X the Maintenance fee of $980 per week..that would equal approx $51,000 that the management company gets for each and every TS unit in the building.
Although $980 is nothing to sneeze at, its probably the low side...yes low side of the going rate for mainteneance fees for a good managed 2 bedroom TS complex. Depending upon the age of the complex, they go through major renovations every 10 years and minor funiture changes every 5 years. If the reserves are not kept up with and set aside to pay for these major expenses, either the TS property goes down hill fast and becomes a Class "B" or "C" complex. |

I have owned timeshares for more than 20 years. I have bought and sold timeshares using TUG. I've also done many exchanges using TUG. Usually, the timeshare owner joins RCI and it costs about $200 to exchange a week. With TUG you are dealing directly with other timeshare owners, no exchange fees.TUG cuts out the middleman.

Just found out that you can post a FREE ad on the TUG website under The Bargain Deals section. Here's a link to it.
