Default Elegant Affordable Lifestyles

We recently came upon a new place to find consignment furniture. The owner also does amazing things with chalk paint. She will also be teaching classes with chalk paint. The address is 103 N Boulevard East in Leesburg. Phone is 352-360-1000. The owner's name is Vanessa

She may be referring to chalkboard paint- like the black chalkboards in classrooms. You can paint any flat surface into a chalkboard now, like a cupboard door, or a wall.
But I could be WAY off here.

Gosh, do they still use 'blackboards' in today's classrooms?

I don't believe it's just blackboard type painting. It's a kind of finish and they use chalk finish paint but in many colors. google chalk paint furniture and you'll see some examples.

can you tell us what hours and days it is open?

Default chalk paint

she even paints fabric and leather with it. When I was there she had painted an old black leather office chair a pearl gray and it looked like new. If you Google Annie Sloan, a maker of chalk paint, you can see how it looks.

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is the BOMB! Do a Pinterest or Google and you'll be amazed at some of the chalk paint pieces. I want to do a dish cabinet for my art supplies. A dish cabinet would also be perfect in a bathroom for toiletries and towels, or in a baby's room for clothes and toys, or to display antique toys or dolls, or even as a dish cabinet, LOL -- etc., etc. I am in love with chalk paint.

Gracie,

Annie Sloan is the "holy grail" of chalk paint. It can be used on furniture, cabinets, upholstery and almost anything else you can think of. The beauty of it is that you don't have to prep the furniture. It adheres to anything. A little expensive at $35 a quart. I plan on doing several pieces when I return in October. You will have to come see them.

Looking forward to it, Sally. Here are some photo's from Annie Sloan's site.
Some look flat, some look distressed, and some look shaded.

I believe the street is "North Blvd East". 441 becomes North Blvd after it separates from 27, and it becomes North Blvd EAST around Canal Street on the right hand side. I know this because I got terribly lost looking for North Blvd going to my doctor in Leesburg. I hope this link works..

Default it is 441

don't know why the address isn't 441. It is on the corner across from that wicker, rattan place. It is easy to miss and parking is limited in front

Yes, that's what I asked my doctor when I arrived, lol. How would I know it changes from 441 to North?? Must be the locals are aware. That's why I attached a map. Its a little tricky in that section.
