I agree with you regarding what is being seen on the display.
I recall the UFO frenzy in the fifties. This is the stuff that feeds the need to support the phenomenon. I gave a presentation on UFOs while in junior high school. The class was transfixed.
The downside of real contact is that we would be unable to win against a level of technology beyond our imagination if ETs had evil intent. Despite the outcomes on “Independence Day” and “War of The Worlds”.
