life we knew when we were young
Has waned away beneath the sun
It faded as we lived each day
A month, a year it slipped away

My mind looks back to see the time
No longer there , no longer mine.
The lonely time that makes me weep
To look somewhere beneath the deep
I fear and yet I do not know
What is it there that makes it so

I wonder if I'll know the hour
My thoughts away will fly
To know which way the flower
Points the way with just a sigh
It reaches up to be a tower
Somehow it knows it's time to die

[Quixote]

A young person who has spent considerable time in TV observed what living and dying in TV are all about. His theory is that people are so busy, with their calendars so filled, that even when it’s “their time,” they’re just so involved in all their activities that they simply don’t have time to let go. So instead, they die in their sleep, which accounts for all the sirens he hears the first hour or two every morning….
