South Lake Animal League (aka The Animal League) has some job openings plus looking for volunteers, too. Not only do they have the adoption center in Groveland they also have a veterinary office open to the public in Leesburg across from the Mall. Job openings (some are part-time, some are full-time, some are at the Leesburg veterinary office, and some are at the Groveland adoption facility)...Animal Care Tech II, Veterinary, Vet Tech, Vet Tech Lead, Kennel Assistant, Adoption Counselor. Plus they are always in need of volunteers at the adoption center.

From the newest town of Brownwood it is about a 30 minute drive to the adoption center. They adopt out both cats and dogs. Dogs and cats are housed in separate buildings.
