Default Grandfather of 8 yr old killed in Boston explosion lives here

That 8 year old boys grandfather lives here in The Villages. Oh my - it has hit so close to home!! I don't know him but if some of his friends want to do something for the family, I will certainly be there. If anyone hears anything, please post. Like where to donate to help or whatever.

His sweet dear face is the entire front page of The Daily Sun.

How do you frame the prayer?

God help us all and in Martin's words..

"No More Hurting People".

Not only the 8 year old, but his sister, age 6, has lost a leg and his mom has a brain injury. I read that on the computer last night. Actually, I hope I am wrong, but that is what was said.

Yes, you are correct - the mom had surgery for a brain injury and the little sister lost her leg. Didn't mean to omit that - I am just about speechless about this horrific event. I hope we can help the family in some way.

Default Villages Family

Reading the article in the paper this morning hit me hard. I think it is because we are like one huge family in The Villages and one of our family members has had a terrible trajedy affect his immediate family. I don't know Mr. O'Brien personally, but he has my sympathy and hope for the best for his injured family members.

The picture of that sweet little boy on the front page today made me teary-eyed every time I looked at him. Special prayers for the family and all who were involved in some way. Such a tragic tragic thing.

For those of you not here, I've posted a pic of the front page of today's paper.
A sweet boy, with a message....a message for all. Maybe this was his purpose here on this earthly plane...to remind us all....no more hurting.
Prayers for this young man, his family, his friends are offered.

Heartfelt sympathies are sent to Mr. O'Brien and his family. A great loss.

I don't know Mr. O'Brien either, but my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family in Boston.

Our prayers are also for Martin and his family and to all the other families caught in this tragedy like the mother from Wakefield MA who was on Good Morning America this morning. Her 2 sons (age 31 & 33) were there, each lost a leg and their best friend with them, lost both legs. My cousin told me they were all roofers and will need to be retrained. They were standing right behind Martin, the 8 year old. I am from the Boston area and my heart is breaking for these people. Mr. O'Brien, from the Village of Santiago, must be devastated and will probably need a lot of assistance with his daughter's brain injury and granddaughter's handicap. The emotional and financial difficulties these families are facing in the future may be astronomical.
