Default trading homes for vacation

Has anyone out there traded their home for one in another
state or country or know of someone who has? Interested
to find out what the experiences were like.

Default trading homes

was looking forward to seeing responses to this post. I've been looking on Senior Home Exchange but haven't gone any further. There are several Villages homes listed. I think this would be a great way to travel on a budget. Anyone out there tried this, or know anyone who has?

Default anything new on this?

We have just started looking at home exchange web sites. Do any TOTVers have any experience? Sounds like a great way to really get to know another country.

a friend of mine has done this for several summers...she and her husband are from new hampshire and they exchange with a woman from hawaii...she happened on this because the woman in hawaii has a sister in the same n.h. town where they live...and of course they got to talking...and bingo! the trade was made! they each even have dogs and are comfortable leaving them at home to be cared for by the other! the swap has worked out well for each - especially because the sister in n.h. was a bond for each and because they are teachers and have the summer off!

We did this in the 90's. We lived in London, England, and had 3 fanastic exchanges in different parts of Florida.
It worked very well for us as a family, and I would highly recommend this. we are still in contact with some of the other familes.
