Hi GoBravesgo,

Oh um, I mean't Cubs. Sorry.

Back "home" in the Midwest, did you ever hear the term "isolated thundershowers" on the national weather forecast and wonder what it meant?

Now you know.

This afternoon, it rained on me 4 separate times traveling from the St. Charles area to the wilds of the Northern Territory.

Speaking of Cane season ..... we got a lil something coming off the Yucatan right now .... NWS is calling for around a 40% chance of further development ... but even then it would only reach tropical storm strength. BUT, should it wonder toward The Sunshine State .... could see some fairly heavy H2O by the weekend.

Remember just about a year ago when we got 12 inches of rain in one day, and the next day 13 sinkholes appeared. That was when the Ashland pond imploded. Be careful what you wish for.

I've never seen a line of rain or storms literally split in half and go north or south around an area...or it horseshoes and rains all around us but not here. I'm sure the day will come and it will be our turn over here but for now, we wait and do a rain dance in the front yard!
