Default Well, it WAS cold enough for snow....

in some parts of Florida today. Up in the Jacksonville area, flurries were being reported. Link should show a picture of some of the white stuff fluttering to the ground.

There's still snow on the ground here in Ohio and schools have been closed this week because of the sub-zero wind chill (-25 degrees!). Leaving tomorrow for our home in TV. Owning a home there reminds us how blessed we are! See you in a couple of days!

It's a little, temporary deviation from the norm for me. I love soup, and it's nice to have "soup appropriate" temperatures! Then lots of tea and a good book.

the middle school I retired from in Jax had flurries. My friends say the kids were having a blast and none of it stuck when it landed. All I could think of was that I was glad I wasn't there. The kids would be impossible to settle down after that.

It has snowed here before.....the seventies and eighties were cold for Florida. In 81 we had 31 freezes in Jax. In 82 it never got above freezing for over 48 hours in Jax and the record low was set at 7 degrees. The citrus belt was pushed back as a result. In 89 we had a white christmas in Jax. The past twenty years it has been abnormally warm.
