A previous Iphone / Smartphone question asked about replacing Internet Service by using the Iphone exclusively.

My question is:

What funtions or products have you replaced using your Iphone / Smartphone???

Myself, I have used mine(got it as a replacement for $50 from ATT last spring) to/for:

• Replace my XM Radio in my house which I used to pick up my favorite Sports Talks stations which I listen to at night (Tony Bruno, J.T the Brick, etc)
• Replace my AM radio in Connecticut to listen to WFAN,
• Listen to WFAN, WABC, and ESPN-1040 NYC while in T.V.,
• Use it as an Alarm Clock,
• Read books on - Nook, Kindle and Overdrive(Free Phildelphia Library) apps,
• Watch HBO and On-demand T.V.,
• Security access to my work PC,

Many other functions, too numerous to mention.


What have you replaced using yours?????

Check prices of items in surrounding area
Priceline will get me a great room on the road
Read my newspapers
Watch TV
Listen to Podcasts
Holds my workouts
Pedometer
Scan business cards into my contacts so I don't carry them around
Send money with PayPal

That's the short list. As soon as they come up with a brush and lipstick app... I can do away with my purse!

The iPhone has so many features it's hard to list them all! Email definitely, GPS. (Looks like I didn't list anything that hasn't been mentioned yet). I think a lot of people don't realize all the features you can use an iPhone for!

You're not alone - neither do I - but working on it since my durrent contract is up in March.

My son gave me a demo of his Verizon "Droid," and......... WOW !

Wife and I have HTC Droid Incredibles and they have performed flawless for three years now.

We are looking at the Droid Razor or the new I Phone now that Verizon carries Apple.

Apple is not 4 G capable yet?

I could go on but... I'll leave you with a rumour I heard ...the Iphone "6" will come with a defibrillator!

My old Iphone (I had the original one just died and hubby bought me the new 4S with Siri. Whoa. I love Siri.

You can talk to it and it gives you answers.

Me How many calories in a chicken leg?
Her Let me think and then the answer comes up.

Me do I have any messages
Her You have 2 and then she reads them.

Me. What's the best phone?
Her You're kidding, Right?
Me. No... What's the best phone?
Her Is there another one?

No kidding! One of my girlfriends said that her brother told it he loved her and her answer was, but you don't know me that well.

I think I have a new friend. Can't wait to ask her if these pants make my butt look big?
