Yup....the green text completely disappears in the quote box when using the new version of this forum. Just as I thought.

Creator must be all-knowing conscious being...therefore "Who" or "I-ness"
Matter and anti-matter are not nothing...nothing cannot exist.
Something cannot magically appear from nothingness...Null and Infinity/eternity do not exist in physical reality.

If you really want to have your mind blown on this subject, then read "The Prime Cure" or "Neothink Superpuzzle" by Mark Hamilton.

Why "must" a creator be all knowing, or even conscious? Humans create many things, as do other animals. We are not all knowing. Earth, fire, water, wind, the natural forces create but are neither all knowing or conscious. Why "must" there even be a creator? I have heard many times that the universe works like a fine watch, and that was their proof. Look at the universe. Chaos! Galaxies colliding. Stars exploding. Black holes sucking up everything that comes within their gravitational influence. The universe is more like the swirling chaos of an explosion, rather than a fine, smoothly running watch.

Perhaps they would view us as a good source of protein !!!

In your definition. I think that we are all crippled by the smallness of our human minds and how far they stretch. Things we understand. We try to define the infinite in our own terms. In calculus, we approach limits. “Magic” is just a term to say we don’t understand something. I, personally, don’t accept the current limits of our knowledge as the be all and end all…. example, science keeps progressing, we keep “discovering” new things.

The question was "what do you think happens to you when you die?"
Not, what is the universe or what is GOD, or are you more intelligent than some aliens from a Syfy movie.

What happens? What do I think?
You either go to Heaven or to Hell, period. Your choice, and only you are able to decide. It's not a threat, it's a promise. It's a 50/50 proposition. You either get it right or you don't. Whatever you think of your life right now, eternity can be hundred times better or a hundred times worse. And it ain't going to be over in 80 or 90 years. That's what I think. Of course, if I have been wrong all these years, I lose nothing. Why? Because if we only turn to worm food when we die, I have lost nothing.
By the way, if I am right (I am) then all those answers to the questions you all wonder about above, will be answered. If not, I guess the questions won't matter anymore.

How do you know you are right? Have you had an epiphany? Anyone from "beyond" come to you while you were AWAKE and tell you what there is beyond life? Any photographic evidence? Has anyone been privy to the beyond?

I don't think so. If there were a heaven or hell, there would be some sort of evidence. Right? That is why I believe heaven and hell is all bunk.

"The devil made me do it". Yeah right!!!

Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. I don't believe in God or the "beyond" or an after life. I know I am in the minority, especially around these parts. I do not begrudge anyone for their beliefs. What I do begrudge is someone, such as a cashier at a retail store, telling me "Have a blessed day". I say nothing. Just walk away wondering why they do not realize not everyone "believes".

"Long pig". That is what cannibals called their human food. We taste like pork. Or, so I have been told.

You have a problem when someone wishes you a good day because of what they might believe? I don't have a problem when an atheist wishes me a good day. When I remember Jewish holidays, I try to greet my Jewish friends with the appropriate greeting, just as they wish me Merry Christmas during the holiday season. I wonder what is really behind folks getting upset when someone is kind to them and uses a religious greeting of good will.
Have a GREAT day.

Good morning, coffeebean,

Although I see the flaws in organized religion, I remain a practicing Protestant — but I cannot comprehend certain churches where the sole — though they pretend it’s ‘soul’ — purpose is pounded into congregants by the “The Sermon on the Amount”…….

and all too often, the underlying — and not so underlying— misogyny and homophobia oozing from the pulpit. I also think churches that make politics a focus should lose their tax exempt status. But ( sigh) that ship has sailed.

But, per your comment about “a blessed day” — that does not offend me, but you wanna know what does…..

I about puke when I read posts that say, “Ohhhhh, we are so blessed to live in The Villages.” That kind of comment makes me think of that SNL “Church Lady” (Dana Carvey) doing the “Superior Dance”— perfect satire, illustrating one of the reasons organized religion keeps people out of a church community.

Good day, and back to topic now.

Boomer (who must be feeling like being a bit incendiary this morning)
