Default What ever happened to Margaritaville.

When I was looking for a home a few years ago everyone was talking about the wonderful new place near Daytona beach, Margaritaville. Since then I haven't hear a word about it, is it still popular, or was it all hype.

It's right here: Latitude Margaritaville: Your New Homes In Paradise | 55+ Communities

Still a thing, still popular. There was some kind of blurb a couple years ago on the news about it, a mini-documentary with clips of Buffet showing up unannounced and singing by the pool.

Our old neighbors in MD moved there. They seem to like it. The lack of a golf course was a deal breaker for me...

I think he is talking about Daytona.

We looked before we built here. I liked the proximity to the ocean with the beach place under construction at the time.
I didnt care for the duplexs they were selling at the time. I didnt want to share a wall with someone.
The construction seemed better than here though. Less cheap slap and dash.

We live in a Duplex when we go up north. They call them attached homes or villas. The wall between you and your neighbor is built to be soundproof and also a firewall. No problems.

Perhaps the reason we don't hear much is because people are just wasting away...

I was thinking of opening a satellite office there...

I mean with so many people "blowing out flip flops and stepping on pop tops" and all...

Default Paradise at 5 somewhere

Took a look about a year ago. Some nice homes but not too much to do. Beach was a great draw but is about a half hour ride from the property. By car, there is very limited parking. The shuttle bus is the best choice but you abide by the schedule. The beach property and facilities are beautiful but too far away. No golf course on property. Folks were nice...like The Villages but not worth the move.

I passed by while driving out of Hilton Head months ago. Looked very interesting. Not on the island though and heavy traffic area too during rush hour. I don't know if Daytona Beach also has one.

jimmy buffet had to cancel some shows after flying to Boston for a check up , and then being hospitalized in boston for some medical issues. Guess he prefers Boston to Florida for healthcare
