Just a quick post to let everyone know the "America The Beautiful" National Parks pass for those 62 or older will be increasing in price from $10 to $80 effective August 28.

This used to be called the Golden Age pass - which is still good.

These are lifetime passes and are not transferable.

You can buy them as close to The Villages as Umatilla in person or online with a $10 ordering charge.

Definitely these are a bargain if you plan to travel to these wonderful National Parks.

Thank you for the reminder. We keep forgetting to do this. But I just put it on the list of things to do next week.

More information can be found at store.usgs.gov where there is a list by state of places where the passes can be bought, along with instructions on how to buy online or by mail.

At the Park Service ranger station. Monday thru Friday, 8 am - 4 pm.

Take 441/27 to Hwy 42. Right on 42 for about 17 miles to Hwy 19. Turn right, go 2 miles. Ranger station is on the right.

Have your driver license as proof of age (62+).

Agreed, this a bargain. This is the "Senior Pass"

Picked mine up recently on Cape Cod for $10. then drove down the street to the ocean and was admitted and parked for free (normally a $20 admission)
It's not just the big national parks.
And it's a LIFETIME PASS
