Just a update. Went to Summerfield USPS on SR301 on Feb 21st to renew. It was tracked and received on Mon 27th Feb. Due to Covid 19 they said there would be a delay!!!!

For 2 months the website just said OFFICE CLOSED. USPS said everything is safe. We are still accepting applications. They will process them in order of receipt......

On Monday 22nd June I received my new passport IN THE MAIL.. supposedly Insured and tracked !!!!!! Surely it should be signed for.

Any idea how much a forged US passport goes for these days !!!!!!

Boy that's a long time to wait for a forged passport.

We have renewed our passports a few times and received them in the mail without signing for them. I don't think there is that big of a market for stolen passports.
