No wait --- I think it was really a Chunky - is that the right name - sounds weird. Awesome piece of chocolate with raisins and I believe it was square. Did it have nuts??? oh brother a senior moment. Help me out here.

It was Chunky here is it's history;

The Chunky candy bar was introduced in the late 1930s by New York City candy maker, Philip Silvershein. Looking for a name for his candy bar, then made with cashews, chocolate, raisins and Brazilian nuts, he decided on Chunky, the nickname of his "chunky" granddaughter.

My favorites were the cherry cordials that were wrapped in red foil and chocolate licorice that was hollow. When we went to the movies we put a box of Sno-Caps into the box of hot popcorn and end up with chocolate popcorn. Hmmmm

Ice Cream BonBons. When I was 15 I worked at the candy counter at the movies, they weren't sealed ...so... I took one from each box. I figured that in the dark watching a movie nobody would notice. Guess what? Someone could actually count to five in the dark.

Thank-you for posting.

My favorite also. They had a commercial done by Arnold Stang that went "Chunky...what a chunk of chocolate". They had Brazil nuts, roasted peanuts, and raisins in them. You can still buy them on the internet for about $1 each.
