I watched the second episode last night. (This is a reality series, not a sitcom)
All morality and social norms aside, If you took them all as individuals, I feel they are sincere, sweet, kind and loving people...and even realistic people, since they were all raised in polygomy, except for the husband. I thought I would be.....freaked out, mad, indignant, shocked, but not so much. The director of this series is certainly able to catch their humaness. I loved the children. One of the lines last night. Dad, "Tell your mother to put a band aid on it". Kid, "Which mother?" Last edited by graciegirl; 10-04-2010 at 08:50 AM. |

I think I read that the Utah state attorney is now looking into this family. Forgot to watch it last night but I agree they all seem happy and well adjusted. Family is not always what it once was and the kids have a very loving home to live in. My only question is how do they financially support this large group? One could argue that the women are very naive and don't know any better having been brought up like that. Maybe so , but it's all they know, it's their frame of reference for family. I find these families very interesting to observe. Wonder if the wives also work and do the kids go to public school or are they home schooled? We'll probably find all that out as the program goes along.
