They told me ".. stand up, don't sit unless he tells you to, if he offers you a drink, you say thank you sir and you drink. Say yes sir, no sir, thank you, sir, other than that, keep your mouth shut..". But they didn't say it that nicely.

Interesting. Who are “they”?

I'll wait until the official investigation is completed and the results posted. I don't jump to conclusions like so many people here do. At that age, the stress of moving could have killed him.

The first story I read this morning said the reason he was moved from Coleman was his deteriorating health and the lack of medical facilities here. Don't know if that was true. Are medical facilities better in W. Virginia?

Some fed pens have large hospital units, some do not.

Seems that somebody at the prison in WV did not do their job. As bad as he supposedly was, prisons should not be so bad that he was killed on his first day there. Have not heard whether they know the killer.

Sez he was beaten to death. I don't know no "family" other than those who will hopefully be sittin' round my Thanksgiving table. That is fine. Everyone does things differently. I am happy with my family.

It wouldn't surprise me if some mafia types got to some federal administration officials in order to have him transferred to where they had his killer waiting. But in any event, it's too bad that it took so long. He was convicted of 11 murders among many other things. How he escaped the death penalty is beyond me.

Three of his fellow prisoners jumped him and beat him to death it looks like. Probably at the command of some Boston chief hood.

I find many of the responses to Mr. Bulgers death interesting as they would have mirrored my thoughts prior to reading an article written about his letter to three high school students. Research online “my life was wasted” Whitey Bulger. He was not without remorse for his deeds.

You have to wonder about the intelligence of the people that took the life of an 89 year old, frail and sickly man hoping to die. They actually did him a favor.
