Here is a story we can all appreciate, about a real-life hero. It brought tears to my eyes.

quirky, Thank you for posting this. I have a friend back in Chicago where I live whose husband has been in Afghanistan since May, and he will be there for another 8 months. My friend said this has been the toughest deployment for them, especially since they have a 4 year old daughter. Let's all keep the troops stationed overseas in our thoughts and prayers, especially as the holiday season approaches.
