If you think the news is frightening now, can you imagine a broadcast from 1941, 1932, 1916, or even 1861. Fox, MSNBC or whomever would have you hiding under your bed!
I think news, culture or whatever is mainly relative to the time. Folks talk about dirty politics and such now without regard to how nasty it was in earlier years. We think kids are worse today, but so has every previous generation. I'm just glad I'm here to see it.

I see your point, and it's well made, but if you want to compare apples to apples you should compare FOX to the regular NBC with Brian Williams, or with CBS or ABC, as that level of reporting is what they claim to be. In my opinion there is no doubt that FOX is more like MSNBC for comparison purposes in that there is no doubt about which direction they lean.

It's obvious you've never watched Electric Blue.

And Fox talking heads don't use the "script of the day"?
Check in anytime during the day and the heads are all parroting the daily script.

Gretchen Carlson Still Not Wearing The Pants!

I don't know if Roger Ailes is a fan of ZZ Top; but it's apparent that he sure does love female anchor's legs and "knows how to use them." As Gabriel Sherman reports in his new book about Roger Ailes, "The Loudest Voice in the Room," Ailes is obsessed with displaying the legs of Fox female anchors. Sherman confirms the existence of the "leg chair" on "The Five." (While Andrea Tantaros was slated for this piece of furniture, former Victoria's Secret model Kimberly Guilfoyle seems to be the primary occupant.) This obsession with legs might have also been confirmed by Gretchen Carlson who admitted that pants were not allowed on Fox & Friends where the curvy couch provides maximum exposure for shapely "gams." And now that Gretch has her own show, she's still not wearing pants!

Au contraire Chi-Town. However, I certainly would not concur that Fox News is in any way tantamount to a soft porn channel in the 80's.

You are right Beechie. I did not mean it in that way. I just meant the amount of blondes.

As do the talking heads of MSNBC. You can check the website of any liberal leaning elected official in D.C against the programming of MSNBC and you will find the "word of the day" in each and every tv show and facebook page of the official.

If I had to guess - I'd say that a central D.C. communications office publishes the word and/or phrase of the day and all programming centers around it.

I tire of the repetitive scripts on each of the channels, but at least FOX takes their topics from the Drudge Report which provides a greater selection of topics. And there must be something to Drudge since he/it is frequently attacked by D.C talking heads!

Watch Hannity and Maddow and you will find the truth somewhere between. That is what I call Fair and Balanced. Actually, I enjoy Crossfire where one can listen to two different viewpoints and ....... once in great while they both agree!

No. Some people had been saying this for years!!! Sheeze!!!!

Fox news is like going to the old movies that had two pictures, a serial, a short news flash and a couple of cartoons. Yow went at no specific time, as you watched it until the part you remember, came back on.

Just like "Sportsceneter". Dun in dat, dun it dat!!!!
