We did a Norwegian Cruise (to Cuba) a few years ago. They don''t have a
"drink package", per say, but well drinks, beer and wine are included.

Once we boarded I was half in the bag before we set sail (really good Mojitos). I went to my cabin a took a nap...

25 cruises and never saw anything like that. It’s a very low percentage.

Depending on which cruise lines you frequent, you could probably take 500 cruises and never see anything like that.

What, you never heard of the great "Caviar Debate" on a Silversea Cruise ship?

It rivaled the Rolls Royce vs Bentley ruckus of the Seabourn Line...

Linen Napkins were tossed about and salty language was used...

I’m not a numbers guy...but I think if you took ‘500’ cruises, you’re gonna see something! The power of positive thinking will only get you so far....

This...to expand on an earlier poster/post. Interesting read......

We have about 20 cruises on Carnival under our belt with the latest being just before Covid (Feb 2020). Mostly 5 & 7 day cruises.

Just haven't had enough desire to get back on the ships again since then. Maybe next year (I keep saying).

With that said, we customize our time onboard to not run into problems like seen on the video.

We are up at 5:30 AM to get our steps in up on the track. Then we go back to the room to get cleaned up and ready for the day. Then off to the dining room for breakfast. We don't get off the ship at the ports until most of the crowds have thinned out. Sometimes we stay on board and enjoy the empty ship.

We get back to the ship before the crowds. Some days we'll grab a quick bite for lunch on the Lido. We eat in the dining room every night and then listen to music near the casino before turning in. Most of our free time is spent on our balcony enjoying the sea (and the peace & quiet).

I've been on 25 cruises, but not one on Carnival. I do own some of their stock though which gets me free OBC with Princess. $250 OBC on my last cruise.

As for Carnival being the cheapest, not so anymore. MSC seems to have the best prices now. Their ships are new, large, and beautiful. However some people seem to hate MSC. Mostly because they are more European style cruising, which most are not used to. They now have cruises geared more towards American cruisers in the Caribbean. I've been on 4 or 5 of their cruises out of Miami and Port Canaveral. I was happy with all my cruises with them. Their privates island is great unless you're looking for a Disneyland style island adventure like RCL has.

You have to row the ships when becalmed, then help rig the sails when wind gets up, and do all the cooking.

Exactly, this has nothing to do with the cruise line. The destruction of the family has consequences....

The higher cost, smaller boat cruise lines attract an older clientele from the bygone era. These are the Regents, Vikings, Azamaras, Seabourns, Silverseas, etc.

Yeah, but you also get a tot of rum when the sun is over the yardarm.
