The President has been trying to pass himself off as a moderate recently and this column will point out how untrue that is...I like the fact that this column also calls out the press just a bit for accepting what this man says..
For example on Supreme Court Justices.... " U.S. Supreme Court rules on the constitutionality of the individual mandate in Obamacare, court observers expect all four justices appointed by Democrats to back Obama. If any justices depart from their ideology, it will be Justice Anthony Kennedy (appointed by Reagan) and perhaps Chief Justice John Roberts. So how did Obama vote on Roberts after President George W. Bush nominated him to the big bench in 2005? The Senate approved Roberts in a 78-22 vote. Good liberals -- such as Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, who no longer serve in the Senate -- were among the 22 Democrats who supported Roberts. Other yes votes -- Nebraska's Ben Nelson and Connecticut's Joe Lieberman -- probably couldn't win and aren't running for re-election. Obama voted no on Roberts. Current Vice President Joe Biden also voted no. In 2006, when the Senate approved Justice Samuel Alito 72-25, Obama and Biden voted against him, too. And the Democrats' 2004 presidential nominee, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., voted against Roberts and Alito" Oh do not listen to this man...look at his record... I will paste the ending and then read it...goes into how ridiculous it was for him to say that he would be considered centrist 25 years ago. He has done more to move the Democratic party HARD HARD left than anyone I can recall... "After moving his party to the far left, Obama expresses outrage that Reagan couldn't win a GOP primary -- even as Republicans seem poised to nominate Mitt Romney over objections from their party's conservative base. He must think that if he keeps calling Republicans radical, the press will repeat his mantra without checking his record." RealClearPolitics - Where Are All the Moderate Democrats? |

I like the fact that according to an ABC poll released today, Obama leads Romney 51-44. Translate that to electoral votes and we are looking at a landslide win for Obama in November.
Obama also leads among women by 19 points. Romney leads among men by 7 points, but last month he led among men by 12 points. ![]() |

Expect desparation from the Republicans and the most outlandish comments from the uber conservatives on this forum. They are beginning to feel that the next Presidential election is a sure thing for Democrats and will pull out all their plugs - never mind if the truth is left out.

What frightens me are the Obama supporters who would say he is moderate and hasn't done enough toward the Progressive cause. To his supporters, friends, community organizers and mentors like Bill Ayers, Bernadine Doran, Frank Marshall Davis, Harold Washington, Lane Evans, Jeremiah Wright and Van Jones; Obama is a moderate.
I'm afraid he has been holding back, waiting on a final term to really change America into the Progressive vision he and his far-left friends see for our future. |

I do think the word moderate has different meanings for some of us. I for one do not equate the word moderate with someone who is trying to destroy America, the exact opposite I believe moderates are trying to save America. Is Obama a moderate? Probably not enough for some and too much for others. Some in the republican party say Romney is too moderate. Is he? I dont think so. But who knows.

I had a friend at the U of NV Reno, Tom, who was a fellow Philosophy student who would sometimes try to get me in trouble and always seemed to have something going on that could keep him in hot water. He tried to pick up a woman at Mustang Ranch no less. She was not a prostitute though. He wound up being stabbed six times by a jealous boyfriend of the women he tried to pick up. The last time I saw him in person there was a married woman--not to him-- waiting for me to leave after I popped in on him to see how he was healing after the 6 stab wounds. Another time another jealous man fixed his truck so that the engine fell out of the truck and into the street after my friend drove it a few yards onto the highway. I would still be interested in Tom's adventures even today despite whatever kind of problems he still could be ensnared in. |

That, along with all the mysteries he has in his life is pretty unsettling at best. |
