Default Too PC or Not?

A 13 year old eigth grader was charged with second degree assault for forcibly grabbing and kissing a 14 year old eighth grade girl at the school. She reported it to the principal's office. The police did not arrest the boy and it will most likely be handled by the school with a suspension. The boy said he was dared to do it.

Was it a "nerdy" boy dared to kiss a real popular cheerleader girl - or a "cool" boy dared to kiss an unpopular girl? No details were given in the various reports.

This has been drilled into kids in school, church, and home to respect others. Basically, it all comes down to peer pressure - and 8th grade boys are - have been - and probably always will be - just kind of stupid.

Charging with assault is legally right but calling police goes too far. A week of suspension handled in-house by the school would have been how to do it

My opinion is that we live now in a society that in the last 5 years or so has made anyone and everyone in any kind of authority so fearful of doing their job as they see fit.

It is the inroads of socialism in my opinion. We have advanced on police, schools, everyone and tell them...if you do not treat me right (and I will decide what is treating me right), I will sue you or in some way cause you pain. Right nor wrong make a difference....just that I do not like it.

Police issues have channels to solve problem, but we never even get that far and when we get there, if the decision is not satisfactory for those who are complaining, then we go back at them.

Socialism, anarchy....not in total but we are in the throes and beginnings of a total chaotic society.

Those who now wish to come on here and claim that this attitude is like "the sky is falling", I ask you to throw aside your political leanings and just sit back and think of what has happened in the last 5 years to our society and it total and complete lack of respect for anything except, it appears, to their political party.

Charging the boy with a felony in this instance displays an abject loss of common sense, coupled with cowardice to resist PC, that is prevalent in this increasing declining society. This idiocy seems especially prevalent amongst school administrators.

The simple solution ... the girl should have slapped him while yelling at him!

PC? What the hell does PC have to do with it.

We live in a sick time in our nation. With too many parents who can't find their a$$ with a mao let alone raise children. All they know is what they learn from watching their favorite programs on television and the media.

They will allow their precious child to go see movies where bodies are taken apart with nothing left to the imagination. No problem. They allow their kids to watch eveything one can imagine sexually on the screen. No problem.
They allow their kids to tell the parents to go yourself or worse. No problem.

A boy steals a kiss or what ever he really did and it is cause for arrest and prosecution?

Perfect example of the sick and decayed, totally incompetent, incapable society we are allowing our society to become.

On the other hand, if the boy had been a registered Democrat then he could have claimed that he was owed that kiss, and justifiably procured it legally. If the school was in California, he would then be awarded with a certificate of accomplishment and sent home with a trophy. The girl, if a Republican would be chastised and condemned by the school and all her peers as being ungrateful and greedy for not sharing her wealth with those less fortunate than her. Being politically correct is one of the constitutional amendments and should be taken seriously.

You just have a bunch of words strung together that make absolutely no sense at all.
