Perhaps what the poster who believes that everything was created by God and not evolution means to say - in his own roundabout way - is that he believes that each species, such as humans, have evolved as a species and not from a creature that evolved from the sea.
We know, for example, that rabbits of the Pacific coastal areas have evolved to be less endangered from the hematoxic venom of the Pacific rattlesnake. The rattlesnakes in only those areas now have their venom becoming neurotoxic to overcome the rabbit's partial immunity to the hematoxins. This clearly shows evolution at work within two separate species. Humans have evolved from the Neanthradral types through many stages to become what we are today. |

Not quite. What the Pope (actually, every Pope since Pius XII in 1950), The Presbyterian Church and Billy Graham all say is that they do not see a conflict between the story of Creation and the science of evolution. This concept is called theistic evolution. |

The atheist liberals on here would just as soon divert to arguing religion, rather than politics because they know that their party is in grave trouble right now. Hilary has dropped so far in the poles that the only Republican candidate that isn't beating her is Carly Fiorina and even she is even with her in the polls. On top of that, there is now a problem with the manipulation of intelligence in this administration. That reflects badly on this administration. |

Cain left also after killing his brother and went out to form other families. Where did those people come from and who were they? All cultures have such similar folktales. Will you concede that humans evolved as a species such as Neandrathal cavemen through many eons to what modern man is like? How do you explain that chimpanzees and human DNA is 98 percent identical? |
Wait, all the paintings of Adam and Eve show them with belly buttons. Something's not right.

Yes, I do believe the Bible. No, I do not believe in evolution. Perhaps you did evolve from a monkey, but I didn't. How did that happen? Why did you evolve and the monkey remained the same? Where is the missing link between you and the monkey? Why is there no further evolving? Why are we the only species that can reason with a language and not just mimic? No, you can't prove evolution. Tell you what, you keep researching evolution and I will continue to browse the politics forum and discuss the topic. You can continue to divert each topic to whatever baiting topic you wish, but we only participate because we feel sorry for you. If you wish to continue to discuss religion, why not ask the question of what religious beliefs Hilary might observe? Or, how about Sanders. Is he really a communist with an atheist bent? That would make him more your type of candidate. I am willing to believe that if you asked Hilary if she was religious, she would respond that she is a Christian. Obama will tell you a Christian, but by his definition, he is not. Of course, when in a Muslim country, he will tell them that he is one of them. What Carson said 20 or 30 years ago, may be different than how he feels now. According to your philosophy, he could be evolving. You give that excuse for Obama whenever he flip-flops on an issue. I can see that Carson saying he is a religious person really bothers you. Perhaps you should explore the reasoning for that. |

It is now the MOCK CHRISTIANITY FORUM and get a few laughs. Recalling all the defense of Muslims, and others where bigot was the charge if you even made a minor comment, it surely has "gone" a long way. We have gone rapidly from making fun of ones politics to now, something I never thought we would see, making fun of others religions. |

You would probably be offended if you were told that Jesus was not 6 feet tall, had blond hair and blue eyes. Right? |

The sarcasm, put downs, insulting and calling people stupid on their beliefs is something you do not find much anywhere. "NITWIT" because you believe in creation, etc. When a person mocks what they don't believe or understand, they show no signs of civility. Their actions say far more about their own level of ignorance and/or lack of upbringing than their jokes convey about the religious beliefs they feel deserve their poor attempt at wit. |

Give your answers to the fossils of Neanderthal man and how humans have evolved within their species to become modern man. Surely, you can do that. |

Take a car engine apart and shake all the parts together in a box. How long do you suppose it would be before it assembled into a working machine? Now, look at the human eye and tell me that you could evolve something as intricate. Everything was created in detail, not evolved. I have yet to see any other planet with evolved life forms. God created us whether or not you want to believe it. |

Check out the very informational website from the Smithsonian Institution at humanorigins.si.edu. Read it all. Read it with an open mind. |
You think they might read something factual? My, you are optimistic. If it doesn't jive with their thoughts on religion, they will label it socialist propaganda, misconstrued by the liberal media.

I attended a Jesuit university and they taught Mendel, Huxley, and Darwin in science, not theology.

Jesus would have been short by todays standard, dark curly haired, dark eyes and have an olive colored skin. Where were the other people in the world located at the time of Adam and Eve? There had to be others so Cain could intermarry with them. If there was no evolution, where did the different races come from? 'Splain, Lucy. |

Anyhow, what do you say about the questions asked about the physical descriptions of Adam, Eve, and Jesus? Where did the other races of humans come from if there was only one set of parents for all mankind? |
This thread has become too boring.

But then again, reading what those who are not worthy, in your opinion, I suppose to your group is "material". I suppose an update is needed for dictionary to show "material" defined as things you do not agree with. |
Like a poster said, Ben Carson's poll numbers have started spiraling down since all this talk of a West Point scholarship, pyramids, evolution, and his violent actions as a teen.
His flash in the pan is a thing of the past and he soon will be dropping out - just like Herman Cain did when he was running. |
