Default Santorum Does it Again

In an attempt to discredit Obama once again Santorum made a statement that on the environment, Obama acts as if humans are a parasite on the earth and then laughed like that was ridiculous.

WELL WAKE UP Santorum. The definition of a parasite is one thing living off of another or somebody who exploits others without doing anything in return. We the people are parasites on the earth. Who is advising this guy.

Please people, this guy is at least a few grains short of a full bushel.

He's speaking in code to the extremist right-wingers and then the next day simply says he didn't literally mean what he said. It is a strategy that works for the crazy base but will drive independents away in droves.
As I said before, Santorum would be a gift from God, or whoever, for the Democratic election victory.

I was watching a little bit (very little) of Fox News Sheperd Smith last night. They were telling of how Santorum and his staff were scrambling yesterday with comments, retractions, and "what they really meant" statement.

Santorum's comments about Obama belonging to a false theology was the good one - and he backpedaled to "what he really meant" was something about the environment and not church. His spokesman then said Obama's views were "Islamic radical" and then later said she meant to say "environmentally radical". Shepard Smith scoffed at that and said, "Yeah, those two words get mixed up all the time."

It was something to hear Shepard Smith actually scoffing at Santorum. He commented that Santorum was talking only about religion and social issues and not the important things like the economy and how he could fix it. Well, obviously, Santorum has no idea of (a) what is important - the economy and (b) what to do to fix it.

The Obama administration is glad that Santourm is making good headway to becoming the Republican candidate. He is a sure loser for November against President Obama.

I have watched Santorum bounce around the leading position with amazement. I can only assume that Santorum is getting support because of his position on abortion. I agree that is an important issue, but to place all hope in a candidate for that reason at the expense of loosing the election is not very clever. Other than being a devout Christian, Santorum is such a poor example of what this country needs. Romney has the ability and desire to put us back in the drivers seat in reference to the economy.

I agree with Buggy and Dale (and I never thought I'd say that)! Obama will be a happy camper if Santorum becomes the Republican candidate.

I would like to know if ChaCha and others realize that there are many oil pipelines that crisscross the USA right now and many come from Canada and Alaska?

How much more crude oil would be transported by the Keystone XL pipeline and how long would it take to build the pipeline and how costworthy would it be from start to finish to the gas tank of your car?

Take a look at this link. It is very interesting. Oil Pipelines Criss-Cross the United States: Why the Fuss Over Keystone XL?

How about the Earth First group's endorsement of Obama because he's simpatico with there ideals? Read it yourself, and then you can apologize to Sen. Santorum afterwards.

Actually, it has everything to do with it. Earth First is lauding Obama because they think he's one of them. Santorum agrees with Earth First. Where's the confusion?

Cool

Rick Santorum is the biggest joke since Barry Goldwater became the republican nominee. If Santorum wins the republican nomination, President Obama is the luckiest man on earth.

Default He Comes Across As An Angry Man

I think it will be hard for him to gain the necessary plurality based on his angrily presented extremist views. There's lots to like about the man, but this conduct isn't part of it.

You guys are so predictable it's funny. Whomever is the front runner of the week is or even who you think it might be, that's who you go after. You'll all switch up by next week again. Liberals are so easy.

Default Why No Keystone Pipeline?

Just thinking...the environmentalists are celebrating a victory for halting the Keystone pipeline project into the US...their concerns were that this pipeline would cross through sensitive aquifers...it seems (as cited in this thread) there are already many oil pipelines passing through these regions?

Now the US environmentalists, emboldened by their success in halting the pipeline south are now working in Canada to completely halt the Keystone project to their west coast, to supply China.

Is the objective here to protect the environment or just stop producing oil in North America...as gas prices continue to climb, I smell nothing but radical green agenda politics, we don't have the technology to count on.
