Darn that ObamaCare! My prescrption drug costs are getting too high to afford.

I picked up my 2 prescriptions at CVS this morning and had to pay $10.28 total for a 90 day supply. That figures out to $0.11 per day! I guess I will have to cut down on my cruises this year.

Most of us had plans paying that or less long before we ever heard of the unknown black racist for president.

I've just recently qualified for medicare. Like almost all other taxes it is a progressive tax. I pay TWICE what the minimum is for medicare part A and I do not get an inflation cap.

My lifetime medical expenses have been low BUT, after moving to the villages I spent 4 days in the Villages Hospital the bill was 50,000. At the time we had AETNA insurance-I EXPECT THEY ACTUALLY PAY MORE THAN MEDICARE DOES. AETNA settled the bill in full for 30,000.
If, I did not have insurance, I WOULD HAVE NEEDED TO PAY 50,000 FOR THE SAME BILL. What is the real cost of my 4 days in the hospital 30 or 50,000?

Example-a young healthy person decided the do not WANT to pay for insurance. For that money they could CHOOSE to buy a nice car.
Now they get into a car accident and THEY HAVE NO INSURANCE. Do they scream HELP ME or do they RESPONSIBLY scream I HAVE NO INSURANCE, I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PAY FOR MY CARE SO JUST TAKE ME ALIVE OR DEAD TO THE GARBAGE DUMP? A hospital like any other BUSINESS must pay it's bills. Just like the THEFT in a retail store, those who STEAL are paid for by the HONEST RESPONSIBLE patron or the store will be forced to close.
It is truly that simple.
We in the US pay twice as much for medical care compared to the rest of the industrialized world. THE REASONS are NOT better results. The life expectancy in the US is about the same as it is in say Germany, Japan, England. Switzerland, etc. I've read that attorney fees-adds over 30% to medical costs. Your doctor not only pays outrageous malpractice insurance fees to protect himself from OUTRAGEOUS settlements. NOTE: I used the words SETTLEMENTS. The reason is that if a doctor fights a case AND LOOSES or PARTLY LOOSES it becomes a matter of public record. If, the doctor takes the advice of his insurance company AND THEY SETTLE THE CASE, they avoid the expense of a court case and perhaps more important-THE RECORDS ARE SEALED.
OBAMA DID NOTHING TO LESSEN THIS ATTORNEY EXPENSE AND RISK.
