I assume since you are taking up all this time on the POLITICAL FORUM with conversations and IGNORING anything that is really pertinent that they must have opinions that can be shared.
Clint Eastwood is just saying he is endorsing Mitt Romney. There was quite a bit of speculation that he was endorsing Obama when he narrated a certain ad that played during the 2012 Super Bowl.

Romney is supposed to address the above issues, not Eastwood.

A lot of folks are swayed by who their favorite celebrity endorses, not to mention the celebrity's ability to raise $$ for their candidate.

I can proudly say that I don't know ONE person who would be swayed by anything George Clooney or Clint Eastwood or Angelina Jolie has to say about this Presidential election.

A bit shallow...isn't it?

Default Its More Than Celebrity

The endorsement by Clint Eastwood is much more than celebrity and like many of you I don't know anyone who would vote based on what a celebrity said anymore than I would vote based on said endorsement. However, i do believe on its own it does mean something because Eastwood has earned credibility and respect globally

Further, of importance is that Hollywood has been notoriously liberal and that the bastions of this vastly rich domain would in a new york second black ball any celebrity who dared express a political view other than theirs and celerities in turn do not speak out or up out of self preservation. Even someone like Eastwood can be hurt.

Now we have some celebrities like Eastwood, Voight Rock speaking out and up which to me signals that something is stiring in tinseltown.

Eastwood movies say a lot about who he is and what he believes and I for one will welcome his vote on behalf of Mitt Romney come November

Gosh i voted today and that lady at the polling station had the audacity to ask me for a photo ID. so I said to her after she swiped my drivers license that how was I going to be able to vote another 16 times now? She smiled and said you won't ".

in my humble opinion - anyone who casts a vote based on a celebrity endorsement may not be a valid/registered voter!

OR live in a state that requires showing a valid photo ID before they are able to vote

clint Eastwood's endorsement despite wht people say here will have a beneficial and psychological affect in favor of Mitt Romney.

Voting is not based on IQ or any other qualification except that you have some kind of Valid Voting ID. We would not be a democracy really if you started putting various qualifications on who gets to vote.

I do not know anyone that would ADMIT to being swayed by Clint Eastwood or anyone else's endorsement. People do vote though on who has backed whom.

Oprah W. made President Barack Obama into the star he is by her endorsement in 2008. He was just a law professor/community organizer and writer of a few books. There were hundreds of these in the many law schools across the US.

Tal: I wanted to avoid this but you know that many people know that young Democrats were influenced by Sean Penn, George Clooney, Sarah jessica Parker, Oprah Winfrey, Matt Damon and many more liberal Hollywood types who all campaigned for Obama in 2008

I imagine that the Redneck Southerner Republicans will be looking forward to having Larry the Cable Guy endorsing Mitt Romney (as if Romney knows who Larry the Cable Guy is - although they are both in the same tax bracket).

Git-er-done, Mitt!
