Sarah Palin: Hilary Rosen Comments 'Awakened Many Mama Grizzlies'

Yes she kicked the sleeping bears, but it was just a stupid comment from some pundit who does not speak for anyone but Hilary Rosen.

...and Ms. Rosen apologized to Ann Romney for her poor choice of words. Case closed.

Lots of the political supporters or commentators say the wrong thing and quickly take them back. For example, look at the link regarding one of Santorum's top contributors and what he said regarding President Obama while on the Lou Dobbs program. Even Dobbs appeared shocked.

Those of us who have actually been stay-at-home mothers know from experience that this is the arrogant attitude of so many "open-minded", "tolerant" leftist females.

The implication is and always has been that we're too lazy and dumb to do anything else. To be fair, the implication stay-at-home moms throw at moms out in the paid world of work is that they put self-recognition and their income at a higher priority than their kids whom they "neglect". Neither of these accusations should be cast across the whole population of mothers in the U.S.A. I think we all know individual moms (and dads) who do fit those descriptions to one extent or another.

Rosen by no means "speaks only for one person--herself". A hired strategist for the DNC is not bringing only her opinions and experiences to them for strategic planning of campaign attacks.

"White House visitor logs indicate that “Hilary Rosen” visited the White House 35 times.

Gen. David Petraeus, head of our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the current CIA director, nine times.

Further perspective: Energy Secretary Stephen/Steve Chu visited 16 times. ....

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki has visited 19 times.

Former CIA director and current Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, 12 times.

Perhaps most surprisingly, the name “Joseph R. Biden” appears . . . 6 times.

At least Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner managed to get into the White House more frequently than Rosen, but not by much. He has visited 40 times.

So the notion that Rosen is just some Democrat talking head, completely disconnected from the Obama administration and campaign is . . . not plausible."

Rosen should apologize - to Mrs. Romney's 22 housekeepers, her nanny, her chauffeur, her social planner, her maid, and her cook.

Really, nobody appreciates how difficult it is to be a proxy mom.

If Hilary Rosen had said "Ann Romney has never worked a day outside the home in her life" instead of "Ann Romney has never worked a day in her life" she would have been totally accurate.

No matter if a person apologizes or not the words can never be taken back.Forgiveness can be given but words are never forgotten. Thats why the saying silence is golden. As we age that is something we all learn.

I worked outside of the home sometimes and sometimes I was a stay at home mom. Trust me. It was much easier to go to a job outside the home.
After I retired I did a part time stint working in a day care. What an eye opener. Mothers would bring in their babies at eight weeks old. Many would cry and moan how they hated having to go to work. More often than not I would see them leave in a Lexus, BMW etc. I would look up their address and they would be living in a very up scale neighborhood. Nothing wrong with that, but don't cry about how you have to work. People tht I knew got off work at 3:30 wouldn't show up until right before closing time. Many people who stay home with their kids do it at a great sacrifice.

Obama Responds To Hilary Rosen Comments: 'There's No Tougher Job Than Being A Mom'
Taltarzac: You may be correct. However I have worked for more than one President of a corporation whose modus operandi was to get employee A to pass information, essentially negative information to empoyee B so that if any back splash it would not fall back on them (president).

So while no one can say with any certainty that Obama is playing this game one has to be niave to believe it is coincidental especially when Obama and company are pushing the "War on Women" being committed by those Bad White Republican Guys. The stay at home Romney wife is really another strike at Romney suggesting that he has so little regard for women, including his wife that he makes her stay home and bake cookies, unlike say Hillary Clinton.

I try and ignore this nonsense because it clouds the true issues which of course is the rationale for such tactics. Sarah Palin slapped them back. Such a waste when we should be engaged in serious debate about solving America's problems

I opine you decide

According to White House Logs Ms. Hilary Rosen has visited the White House 35 times. That sure is a lot of times for someone who is "not closely associated with Obama" and "not an Obama advisor by any means" as we've been hearing ever since Ms. Rosen made her uncalled for attack on Mrs. Romney.

This is just an example of an Obama advisor making the mistake of showing the true liberal face, and every other liberal trying to distance her from The One. Liberals hate to be exposed.

Isn't Hilary Rosen a CNN reporter/talking head? Wouldn't it be normal for a news reporter to visit the White House? I believe the White House Press Corps meets at The White House and they probably have to use the visitor log.

Maybe just a bit of logic to this nonsense that has nothing to do with anything.

A CNN reporter takes a swipe at Ann Romney. Fox reporters have swiped many times at Michelle Obama.

If some of the uber conservatives say that Obama is against stay at home moms and used Ms. Rosen, I say (quoting Sherman Potter of MASH) "Meadow Muffins".

Rosen apologized. Case closed.

How come I didn't hear you say "Limbaugh apologized, case closed"?

I haven't heard any of you lefties say that.

(he didn't mean it and we know in our little liberal hearts that she did)

bah!!

Could it be because Rush Limpbaugh is the titular head of the republican party with 20 million listeners according to him? Nobody, outside of CNN viewers, ever heard of Hilary Rosen until two days ago. Limpbaugh castigated Sharon Fluke for nine hours over three days calling her every name in the book. Hilary Rosen left out "outside the home", otherwise her statement was totally accurate.
