Ever get in an argument in a bar let go what the beef. Cant take the heat get out of the fire or oven or what ever

My advice is to get to know some of the posters personally. I have gotten to know a couple of them like RichieLion and Figmo. Even though we do not agree on political aspects, both are very nice guys. I have invited others but to no avail, though.

It's true and I do value your friendship and companionship, and also I enjoy beating you about the ears over your misguided political ideas.

The one thing I have to say is that you are exactly as you appear. A jovial good natured fellow with a decidedly liberal slant.

You're only mocked when you are winning the argument. Trust me on that.

The liberals cannot win this argument or this election on the issues; issues you so devastatingly bash their mushy skulls with.

The strategy of Obama is reflected by the liberals on this forum. Lie, attack, vilify and demean. Ridicule is the weapon of the modern American liberal.

Thinking people know this is true. Don't think nobody sees what's going on here.

A good discussion up to now. We appreciate the feedback. Our role is not to stifle discussion or dissent but to insure that people treat each other with respect and post with civility. A good bit more leeway is granted in political than in the main forum.

Appreciate your efforts however it appears this forum is being subjected to a form of censorship that depends entirely on a definition of respect and civility from the eyes of a single beholder which might not be universally agreed to. A more liberal approach is much more likely not to stifle or limit future participation.

We all bring our own personal views, opinions and beliefs to this forum. Clearly civility, respect and addressing the specific issue at hand are vital if we are to gain anything along the lines of information.

In my view the underlying problem now and is reflected in this forum and I believe with all other blogs, television reports, etc is that campaigns are far too long and with a zillion places blasting information we are all over saturated.

I voted on Saturday and asked the woman who had checked my photo ID, a good practice and one verified by the fact that Valerie Jarret demanded two photo ID's for anyone attending her daughter's wedding in June, if I could please have my voting form for the Presidential election also. Obviously she declined.

How much more pounding can or does a person have to take. I don't care who the Vice President pick will be or to watch any debates or even view the National Convention. Its all noise and its all too expensive.

What the heck is wrong with a three month period before an election to campaign, debate, advertise then vote?

Richie - We will not delete your post. NO ONE is protected on this site. But when you or anyone else directs a comment at anther user we will get involved. It is very simple. If that doesn't work for ANYONE then that person should unsubscribe from the political forum.

If anyone has a comment that they want to direct to the 'powers to be' which is Admin/Moderators/Owners it needs to be done privately or the user account will be suspended. We don't 'air' when we do corrective actions with specific users publicly on the site and ask for the same respect in return if you have a comment to make about the site ownership or moderation.

We don't moderate opinions. It is a private site and a user account is requested, terms of service agreed to, and then the powers to be decide to issue the user account. If everyone would follow rule #1 - Do not direct comments toward another user I'd pick up about 7 hours a week of time.

Also Richie - if anyone else would have made a negative comment about the moderators or administrators (Power to Be) publicly I would ban their account because everyone knows how to contact us privately to express concern about something the powers to be are doing or have done. Since you have been on the site since 2009 and have over 5k post I'm taking that into consideration and treating it different than someone who hasn't contributed so much over the years. I hope no one feels that I'm protecting you but I believe it is the right thing to do.
