Talking Gods of Politics Laughing

It has to be tests by the Gods of Politics. It may even be a bet as to how crazy the American's really are. Here we are with the Senator from the 35th largest state in population (Nevada) who gains their revenue from gambling and taking money not from honest work but from human weakness as a leader. Then we have the man from Nebraska who sells his soul by taking bribes for a vote. We have a person (Pelosi) from California who grew from being a secretary (no pun meant to that fine occupation) to being the leader of the House and believing the government is a charitable institution rather than a govering body expressly responsible for protection from outside threats and the individual rights of each citizen. In the middle of all of this they drop in a President from the most corrupt section of the country. Gambling+Bribes+Ignorant+Corruption+Other misc corruptionable senators=A disaster for rights of citizens.
The Gods of Politics have to be laughing at the joke being played on the American people and how they don't have the character to fight it.

" We have a person (Pelosi) from California who grew from being a secretary (no pun meant to that fine occupation) to being the leader of the House and believing the government is a charitable institution rather than a govering body expressly responsible for protection from outside threats and the individual rights of each citizen. " --How can you possibly deride this woman for having been a secretary!! And in what world is this relevant to politics!!
As for supporting her political decisions--it all depends on what side of the political aisle you are on. Just my humble opinion but wasn't our great government founded to provide for the "common good" of its people-not just for that of sole individuals.

Question Whaaat??

Will end it here but have to say.. (Q)"and in what world is this relevant to politics" (R) It goes to the heart of understanding the constitution, & rights, (Q)"wasn't our government founded to provide for the common good" (R) this is the most serious of questions. The answer is yes. But if in that statement you are implying it is unto them according to their talents and to them according to their needs then you are in the wrong country. This is a democracy not socialism, etc. As an aside..another good laugh for the Gods of Politics is the ability to have other states pay for Nebraska, New York, etc costs. Although it is unconstitutional they passed it with flying colors.
There was a point that this belongs under "politics"..I don't think so. I really belongs under "jokes" if there were such a category.

Limited capacity - YES
In all likelyhood, Egg Nog probably has nothing to do with it.

Cool Cutsie

Cutsie answers but lack any creativity. Come on, if your going to support Obama you can be more creative rather than being limited in thought.
